Duck meat is a great source of protein. It has a high content of unsaturated fatty acids (PUFA), which reduces blood cholesterol. It is an excellent source of niacin (vitamin B 3). Niacin plays an important role in metabolic processes in the body and reduces blood cholesterol. Duck further contains vitamins A and C and minerals, especially iron, calcium, and selenium. Pheasant is a very good source of vitamin B12, phosphorus, and selenium.
