Johnson's Poultry Housing Spray is an H.S.E. approved, licensed insecticide that kills mites, lice, fleas, larvae and other insects in and around chicken coops, pigeon lofts, cages, aviaries and hutches. It contains a long acting Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) that stops eggs and larvae developing, breaking the life cycle and protecting for several months against reinfestation.

How to Use

• Shake well. To avoid risks to human or animal health, or the environment, comply with the instructions for use.
• First remove animals, birds and children, and food and water, from the quarters to be treated, then remove pet bedding, shavings or similar materials.
• Spray a fine mist in a sweeping motion from about 30cm onto the surfaces of chicken coops, pigeon lofts, baskets, cages, aviaries and hutches, especially into cracks and crevices.
• Spray for 8 seconds per square metre of surface, then leave the area for 30 minutes.
• When the areas have dried and aired, replace with fresh bedding before birds and animals are allowed to return.
• Spray weekly or as required and change pet bedding regularly. Not to be used on pet bedding.
• Other insect pests: spray directly to kill ants, cockroaches, beetles, earwigs and silverfish.
• Avoid use on perspex or plastic cage materials, polished surfaces or delicate fabrics. If treatment is necessary, spray from not less than 60cm, having first treated a small test area.

Safety

• DANGER. Extremely flammable aerosol. Pressurised container: may burst if heated. Protect from sunlight. Do not expose to temperatures over 50°C. Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking.
• Very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Remove or cover fish tanks and bowls and water storage tanks before application. Do not empty into drains.
• Do not contaminate foodstuffs, eating utensils or food contact surfaces. Do not apply to clothing. Exclude animals during application.
• Hazardous to bees. Bats are protected by law: take advice before treating any structure used by bats.
• Wash hands and exposed skin before meals and after use. Keep out of reach of children. Keep in a safe place.
• Until dry, treated surfaces can pose a fire risk. Do not handle treated fabrics until dry and aired thoroughly before use.
• Permethrin may produce an allergic reaction. Store below 25°C. Use in a well ventilated area.
• Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use.
