How does the PetSafe Microchip Cat Flap work?
The flap reads your cat's microchip, or an optional PetSafe Microchip Cat Flap Key, as your cat approaches. It only unlocks for programmed pets and stays locked to strays and wildlife.
What type of microchips are compatible?
15 digit FDX-B microchips (134.2 kHz), the most common type in cats, including Datamars / PetLink, HomeAgain, AVID, 24 PetWatch, Banfield and AKC Reunite.
Can I use it for more than one cat?
Yes. It stores up to 40 microchip IDs.
