API PH Down 118ml
API pH Down 118ml is a reliable liquid solution formulated to help you lower the pH level in freshwater aquariums when it drifts above the ideal range for your fish and plants. pH is a critical measure of water chemistry — too high and some species may become stressed or unhealthy — so this product gives you a convenient way to bring pH down safely and effectively when needed.
Key Features & Benefits:
🔻 Lowers pH in freshwater tanks: Helps make aquarium water more acidic when pH readings are higher than desired, creating a more comfortable environment for many freshwater fish species.
💧 Fast‑acting & colourless: The clear liquid works quickly without clouding or colouring the tank water, so you maintain crystal‑clear visibility.
🐠 Fish‑ and plant‑safe (when used as directed): Phosphate‑free and nitrate‑free formula won’t encourage algae growth and is gentle on aquatic life.
📏 Easy to dose: Add measured amounts based on water volume and re‑test pH before additional dosing to adjust gradually and avoid stress to fish.
When to Use It:
Use API pH Down after testing your aquarium water with a pH test kit (like the ****) whenever pH levels rise above the optimal range for your aquatic species — common after water changes, tap water additions, or natural fluctuations in tank chemistry.
Pro Tip: Make adjustments gradually (avoid large shifts in a short period) to minimise stress on fish.
