Exitel 230/20mg Flavoured Tablets for Cats: roundworm and tapeworm treatment

Exitel Flavoured Film Coated Tablets for Cats treat mixed roundworm and tapeworm infections in a single dose. Made by Chanelle Pharmaceuticals in Ireland, each meat flavoured tablet combines pyrantel embonate and praziquantel. No fasting is needed before treatment.

Tapeworms: Dipylidium caninum, Taenia taeniaeformis, Echinococcus multilocularis

Dosage

Give by mouth as a single dose. Weigh your cat as accurately as possible.

4.1kg to 6kg	1 and a half tablets
6.1kg to 8kg	2 tablets

How to Use

Give the tablet directly to your cat, or disguise it in a little food.
For roundworms in kittens, repeat treatment with a suitable product every 14 days until 2 to 3 weeks after weaning.
Fleas carry tapeworm (Dipylidium caninum), so control fleas and mice to avoid reinfection. Ask your vet about how often to repeat worming.
Discard any unused half tablets.

Safety

Do not use in kittens under 6 weeks of age.
Do not use during pregnancy. Can be used during lactation.
Do not use at the same time as piperazine compounds.
Do not use in cats hypersensitive to the active substances or any of the ingredients.
Cats in poor condition or with heavy worm burdens should be seen by a vet before treatment.
Very rarely, vomiting, drooling, unsteadiness or muscle tremors may occur.
The tablets are flavoured: store out of reach of animals. Keep out of reach of children. Wash hands after use.
